BERRYVILLE, Va.-  The Clarke County Eagles 2024 Football Schedule has been released and this season will the Eagles will play 6 games on the road and travel 734 miles, averaging 122 miles per game.

"We played 6 games at home last season, and things definitely evened out this year, and we will have to adjust to playing away games." Eagles Head Coach Casey Childs said earlier.

The Eagles start off on a Thursday night as they travel to Ashburn to face the Rock Ridge Phoenix. The Eagles got an opening season home win last year against the Phoenix. Five of the first seven games are on the road.

Week 2 is the longest trip of the year as the Eagles will face the King William Cavaliers in the final game of a two year contract. Rock Ridge, Buffalo Gap and Catoctin, MD also are in the second year of a two year contract.

The Hall of Fame Game and Little League Night have been combined and will be played September 13 at the Felt as Buffalo Gap visits the Eagles. Homecoming will be October 4 as Catoctin, MD comes to the Felt, and Senior Night is against Luray on November 1.

Notable this year is the lack of a West Virginia team in the scrimmage or regular season. The Eagles have been scrimmaging Jefferson County, WV for several years and before that scrimmaged Washington and Musselmen, and Berkeley Springs.

This season the Eagles will scrimmage Dominion (Loudoun County) and James Wood.
"We just decided to move in a different direction with our scrimmage's and are excited to face Dominion and James Wood" Childs said.
