MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Junior defensive tackle Brandon Thompson has been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week for week six in selections announced Tuesday morning by the website.

Thompson posted a school record three sacks in Saturday's 47-31 ODAC victory over previously unbeaten Guilford.

Each of the three sacks led to a GC punt or a turnover on downs.

Thompson is the second player from the SU defense to earn a Team of the Week nod this season. Fellow lineman Jake Shaffer was picked following the week two contest against Frostburg State.
