MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Senior defensive end Ian Griffin has been named to the D3 Senior Classic Super Senior Watch List in selections announced Friday by D3football.com.
Griffin, a two-year starter for the Hornets who was selected third team All-ODAC last season, is the only SU player placed on the pre-season watch list.Shenandoah has had at least one player participate in the D3 Senior Classic in each of the last four seasons, including Bryon Mitchell '14 and Josh Wells '14 last winter.
Griffin had 30 solo and 21 assisted tackles last season - 3.5 of those tackles were sacks and an additional 6.5 went for loss.
The Hornets open the 2014 season next Saturday night at Gallaudet.
