Raiders place second at Appalachian Duals, Wolverines take fourth

FRONT ROYAL, (12/22/12)- The Loudoun County Raiders captured second place in the sixteen team Applachian Duals losing in the Championship round to the Franklin County Eagles 56-12. The Raiders made it to the finals by defeating Centreville 48-21, and Skyline 47-21.

Franklin County went undefeated on the day with wins over Kettle Run 58-9, and Woodgrove 52-18 to advance to the Finals.

The Woodgrove Wolverines finished in fourth place losing to the host Skyline Hawks 45-26. Woodgrove went 2-2 on the day defeating Lake Braddock 45-33, and Centreville 45-30. The Wolverines also lost the tourament champions, Franklin County 52-18.

Skyline defeated Mountain View 41-28, Lake Braddock 37-33, and Woodgrove 45-26 and lost one match to Loudoun County 47-21.
