All Winchester Star 1st Team Football Squad

WINCHESTER, - (12-1-12) The Winchester Star named their All Area Football team, based on their coverage area of Winchester, Frederick County and Clarke County.

1st Team All Winchester Star
Justin Neff — Millbrook — Senior — QB
Neff led the area in passing yards (2,200) and TDs (21). He completed 137 of 270 passes and threw 14 interceptions. A first team All-Northwestern District selection, Neff’s yardage and touchdowns were the area’s highest since 2007 (Sherando’s Ross Metheny, 2,207 yards, 24 TDs).

Taylor Loudan — Sherando — Senior — RB
Loudan led the area in rushing yards (1,592) and led his team with 10 rushing TDs and a 7.1 average on 223 attempts. He also led his team in receptions (16, for 214 yards and 2 TDs) and completed 19 of 39 passes for 246 yards and a TD. Loudan was the Northwestern District Offensive Player of the Year.

Justin Anderson — Millbrook — Senior — RB
Anderson led his team in rushing yards (1,222) and led his team with 13 rushing TDs and a 7.1 average on 173 attempts. He also had 16 catches for 142 yards. Anderson was a first team All-Northwestern District selection.

Davey Hardesty — Clarke County — Senior — RB
Hardesty led his team in rushing yards (1,454, on 183 carries) and led the area in rushing TDs (25), total TDs (30), points (186) and yards per carry (7.9). He also led his team in receptions (28), receiving yards (454) and receiving TDs (four). Hardesty was a second team All-Region B selection and was first team All-Bull Run District.

T.J. Bruce — Millbrook — Senior — WR
Bruce led the area in receiving yards (876) and receiving TDs (12) and led his team with 44 catches. A first team All-Northwestern District selection, Bruce’s yardage and TDs were the area’s highest since 2000 (Handley’s Adam Dutton, 1,111 yards, 14 TDs).

Justin Washington — Handley — Sophomore — WR
Washington led the area in receptions (45) and led his team with 630 receiving yards and seven touchdown catches. Washington was a first team All-Northwestern District selection.

Josh Wagner — Sherando — Senior — TE
Wagner led his team in receiving yards (232) and receiving touchdowns (four) and made 13 catches. He was a second team All-Northwestern District selection.

Grant Johnson — Millbrook — Senior — OT
Johnson was a first team All-Northwestern District selection. He helped Millbrook’s offense lead the area in scoring (30.3 points) and total (368.5 yards) offense.

Adam Nordling — Sherando — Senior — OT
Nordling was a first team All-Northwestern District selection. He helped Sherando’s offense lead Winchester-Frederick County schools in rushing (218.2 yards).

A.J. Bolden — Millbrook — Senior — OG
Bolden was a first team All-Northwestern District selection. He helped Millbrook’s offense lead the area in passing (205.7 yards). Bolden has verbally committed to play for the NCAA Division I University of Toledo next year.

Jordan Dowrey — Handley — Junior — OG
Dowrey was a second team All-Northwestern District selection. Dowrey helped Handley’s offense average 313.6 passing yards and 27.6 points in its last three games.

Erik Bearer — James Wood — Senior — C
Bearer was a first team All-Northwestern District selection. Bearer helped James Wood’s offense average 13 points and 241.1 yards per game.

Mason Longerbeam — James Wood — Senior — DE
Longerbeam recorded 34 tackles and led his team in tackles for loss (13), sacks (seven) and forced fumbles (two). Longerbeam was a second team All-Northwestern District selection.

Chris Smith — Sherando — Senior — DE
Smith led the area in sacks (13) and had 82 tackles. Smith was a first team All-Northwestern District selection.

Erik Bearer — James Wood — Senior — DT
Bearer recorded 56 tackles, seven tackles for loss, and one sack. Bearer was a first team All-Northwestern District selection.

Jordan Dowrey — Handley — Junior — DT
Dowrey led his team with 115 tackles and had 3.5 sacks. Dowrey was a first team All-Northwestern District selection.

George Aston — Sherando — Junior — LB
Aston led his team with 139 tackles and he had one sack and one interception. Aston was a first team All-Northwestern District selection.

Josh Dulaney — Clarke County — Junior — LB
Dulaney led the area with 145 tackles and he also had two forced fumbles, two pass breakups and one interception. Dulaney was a first team All-Bull Run District selection.

Garrett Williams — Millbrook — Senior — LB
Williams tied for the team lead with 99 tackles, led his team in tackles for loss (10), and had three sacks and one forced fumble. Williams was a first team All-Northwestern District selection.

Skylar Wotring — Handley — Senior — LB
Wotring recorded 112 tackles and two sacks. Wotring was a second team All-Northwestern District selection.

Rze Culbreath — Millbrook — Senior — DB
Culbreath, a safety, led the area with seven interceptions and also had 63 tackles, seven pass breakups and two forced fumbles. Culbreath was a first team All-Northwestern District selection.

Reid Entsminger — Sherando — Senior — DB
Entsminger, a safety, only played in six full games because of a broken collarbone, but was a key leader and player on area’s best defense. He had 20 tackles and two interceptions.

Davey Hardesty — Clarke County — Senior — DB
Hardesty, a safety, recorded 68 tackles, three interceptions, three pass breakups, and forced and recovered two fumbles each. Hardesty was a second team All-Region B selection and was first team All-Bull Run District.

Adrian DeNeal — Millbrook — Senior — DB
DeNeal, a cornerback, recorded 39 tackles, three interceptions and five pass breakups. DeNeal was a first team All-Northwestern District selection.

Davey Hardesty — Clarke County — Senior — P
Hardesty led the area with a 37.0 average, punting 22 times for 815 yards.

Tyler Gray — Millbrook — Sophomore — PK
Gray led area placekickers in points (60) after making 36 of 40 XPs and an area-best eight FGs (on 10 attempts). Gray’s longest made FG was an area-best 46-yarder. He was a first team All-Northwestern District selection.

Davey Hardesty — Clarke County — Senior — KR
Hardesty returned 11 kickoffs for 350 yards (a 31.8 average) and a 11 punts for 94 yards (an 8.5 average).
