LEESBURG - Alex Carter played a key role in helping Briar Woods High School win consecutive Virginia Division 4 state championships in his final two varsity seasons. The 6-foot, 200-pound cornerback is now making waves at Stanford University as a true freshman.
Carter has started six games and played in all 12 contest for the Cardinal this fall. He has recorded 31 solo tackles, seven assisted tackles and forced three fumbles. Carter has also returned five kicks for 110 yards.

Briar Woods High School alum Alex Carter has registered 38 tackles and forced three fumbles in his freshman season at Stanford University. Stanford will host UCLA in the Pac-12 championship game Nov. 30.
