Burns breaks Stone Bridge single season passing record by Moe Murphy / Clarke County Sports

ASHBURN-(11-23-12) Stone Bridge Bulldog senior quarterback Ryan Burns broke the Stone Bridge single season passing record throwing for 174 yards on 5 of 7 with 2 touchdowns in the Bulldogs 69-50 win over the Yorktown Patriots. Burns also added a 4  yard touchdown run.

 After Burns connected with D'Ante Yarborough on a 90 yard strike in the fourth quarter the announcement was made over the PA system that Burns had broke Patrick Thompson's 2007 single season yardage record of 2,337 yards. Thompson is the son of Bulldogs head coach Mickey Thompson.

Burns has 2,365 yards with at least one more game and possibly two left to play for the Stanford bound senior.
