Bengals 38 - Redskins 31

LANDOVER, MD-The Washington Redskins opened their 2012 home schedule Sept. 23 hosting the Cincinnati Bengals before another sellout crowd at FedEx Field in Landover, Md. The Redskins fell to the Bengals, 38-31.

The Redskins extended their consecutive games home sellout streak to an NFL-high 369, including postseason games. Alfred Morris finished the game with 78 yards on 17 carries, becoming the seventh Redskins running back since the merger to open a season with three consecutive 75-yard rushing performances in the first three weeks of a season. He is the first to do so since Stephen Davis in 1999.

London Fletcher extended his consecutive game streak to 227 games, an NFL record. Fletcher needs just one interception to join Ray Lewis and Brian Urlacher as the only active players with 20 interceptions and 30 sacks in a career.
