Washington Redskins greats recieve another shot at glory

LANDOVER, MD (11-3-13)-The Washington Redskins held their second annual Alumni Homecoming Game on Nov. 3 at FedEx Field in Landover, Md. Members of the 1987 Super Bowl XXII championship team were honored in a ceremony during halftime of Sunday's game against the San Diego Chargers.

“This is the type of event you can never get enough of,” Redskins running back Larry Brown said. “I am enjoying it very much.” Brown played from 1969-1976 and was the NFL’s Most Valuable Player in the 1972 season.

More than 100 alumni assembled on the field for a group picture and then spent the next hour catching up on old times with each other.

“It’s a great feeling to be back and see so many of the guys you played with,” Super Bowl XXII MVP Doug Williams said. “This homecoming and alumni weekend is a great thing for all of us.”
